Every time I read another book in this series, I swear it's even better than the one before! Joseph is the perfect Dom, Master, whatever - even he had trouble deciding which he was. The ladies have done it again. If you are not into an M/s relationship you should not read this. It is a little darker than the two previous books. Joseph has a very dark past that he has tried hard to get away from. Lilly is finishing getting her college degree & just learning BDSM. When Joseph first sees Lilly, his flower, he wants her to be his. He doesn't want a D/s relationship, he wants a M/s relationship. Lilly feels safe at the club & isn't sure about taking it outside of it. When Joseph says he will pay her to come home with him she is furious & tells him no. Things change when her job loses their funding & she loses her job. Lilly signs a one month contract to be Joseph's slave. He is ecstatic she will be his to do whatever he likes whenever he likes. As the month goes on Joseph & Lilly learn things from each other & their relationship starts to be more than just M/s. When Joseph's past comes knocking he will do whatever it takes to keep Lilly safe. I loved the banter Lilly has with herself about the books she reads. Lilly likes HEA & books with no cliffhangers. 😉 I voluntarily reviewed this book and purchased it just like the other two. Can't wait for the next one.
I didn't like Joe in Bought or Sold. I didn't get a good vibe about him. He didn't seem like a character I wanted to read about. I'll admit I was concerned. He wasn't my favorite in the beginning of this one either but my opinion changed. The story was dark but really good. I'm not sure what emotion describes my state of mind the best. It was a good read but unfortunately Joe has nothing on Lucian (Bought)! He's my yummy favorite! I'm glad Lilly and Joe found each other. This is the first series I've read where all the books are true standalone. Some characters make an appearance but no details are given. You don't miss anything. You aren't lost. Owned is not all flowers, unicorns and balloons. It's a dark tale. Joe did end up growing on me and he redeemed himself. He really grew as a character. He and Lilly had some really erotic intimate scenes. I'm glad certain scenes were not drawn out. They got right to the point. It made the book seamless and interesting to read. No drama. Really smooth transition from scene to scene. I'd recommend reading Bought, Sold and Owned. Now onto Given. I'm anxious to read about this mysterious Zander.

Looking for a naughty little pick me up? Grab the Highest Bidder series by Willow Winters and Lauren Landish to hit the spot. I've enjoyed each book in the series, but Joseph and Lilly are my absolute favorites.
This is a steamy and exciting read! I highly recommend it to fans of BDSM novels, strong alpha-males, and off the charts steamy scenes.
Joseph, a former head of a mafia crime family left the family and wanted nothing further to do with them, but his brother keeps badgering him to come back and lead them. No deal, he is permanently out of that business.
It's been a while, but he goes back to club X and find himself interested in a neophyte, Lilly. She comes in observes a few scenes and then leaves. Recently she has been going down to the dungeon and observing more intense scenes. Joseph has a brief word with her, then she leaves. She comes back and is really interested in Joseph, but he wants to take her to his home. She fears leaving the protected atmosphere of Club X. Eventually, she put herself up for the monthly auction. Just what Joseph has been waiting for. Of course, he purchases her for a month. They spend time going over her limits, desires, etc. At the end of the month, or before, depending on circumstances, she will receive about a 1/2 million dollars.
Joseph calls her his flower, because of her name, Lilly. The action and romance is flowing in this book. If you would like to continue this series, be aware that this one is more intense and Lilly is just a novice. They both find love together, HEA!
Joseph Levi is estranged from his mobster family. With his criminal past, men with any sense of self-preservation give him a wide berth. He is the consummate master without a slave, that is until he sees Lilly in Club X.
Lilly (Flower) Wade is a psychology grad student who helps underprivileged kids in trouble. She is also an amateur novelist in her spare time. With a spirit as kind, sweet and strong as her name she is the last person anyone would expect to see at Club X. She only intended to check it out and possibly explore her fantasies for her book, that is until she is approached by Joseph.
Owned Highest Bidder by Lauren Landish and Willow Winters is the third book in the series. Like the other books, it too is very dark, but the back stories behind the desires are interesting enough to keep me reading. Like with the other male leads in this series, Joseph is an acquired taste that improves by the end of this stand-alone novel.
